This absinthe glass set set has two parts. The glass dripper (brouille) (that is placed on top) acts as a ice water reservoir with a small hole in the bottom. This allows ice water in the reservoir to slowly drip into the glass mixing with the absinthe waiting below. This is a traditional and effective way to produce a perfect louche. This method for preparing a glass of absinthe was a popular way to enjoy absinthe in pre-prohibition America. The dripper was in fact referred to as an "absinthe glass" in a famous bartenders manual publishing in New York City in the late 1800's. These high quality machine pressed glasses are as durable as they are beautiful.
